Blogger Layout Week 5: Simply Zen

As soon as any reader stumbles across your blog, the design of the blog is the first thing they will notice.  Blogger has made having a good looking blog easy, with its built in templates.  

This is week 5 of Blogger Templates.

Last week, The Art of Blogging used a variation of the Simple layout.  Called 'Book 'Em' in our title, the biggest variation was the background image.  Showcasing what a background image can do for a blog, the bookcase adds character and depth.  This template might be very appropriate for independent writers or book clubs.  

This new variation on Simple has a lot less character than the last.  We call it 'Simply Zen' and with good reason: its neutral colour scheme and light textures allow for a very comfortable but ultimately boring template
