    Choosing a new Template

Whenever you want a fresh look for your blog, sometimes no amount of moving elements or changing fonts is enough - you need a new template.  Any time you want to really change things up, head over to the Template tab and visit the Pick New Template section.  Here, you can look through a ton of available Blogger-made templates - all of which we have covered in detail here - give it a quick preview and then select and use it.  Click the 'Save Template' button when you've finished selecting a new template.

Warning:  If you customize your template using the Fonts and Colours section, and then pick an entirely new template, all of the changes and edits you've made will be lost.  If you want to be able to re-do some of those templates at some point in the future, you can download a copy of your blog to remember what colors and fonts you used for each element.  You could even print out a copy and use it as a physical guide.

As you look through the available Blogger-made templates, you'll notice that they have multiple versions listed.

These templates have been created with variations on the main layouts that bloggers might like to use, depending on their blog and style.  To see the variations, just click on the radio button for each one of the variations.  The thumbnail will load and you'll see a preview of your blog using the template.

Don't forget, you can always customize every template by using the Page Elements and the Fonts and Colours section like you did for your previous layout.
