Many Social Networks allow you to connect with your friends and make new ones while sharing stories, photos and videos. They've exploded in popularity in the past few years, and many of these social networks offer a rudimentary blogging tool. Everyone from Myspace to Facebook has tools to craft a post and their quality and options are always expanding. It can be pretty stressful to choose which social network you want to belong to, but a good rule of thumb to follow is to find out where your friends currently are - but don't forget to consider other networks that have great design or great features either.

In general, social networks which offer blogging tools are good for something now called 'Social Blogging'. These are really appropriate tools for those professionally blogging, or those blogging about business - unless they're trying too hard to stay hip, current, and appeal to a younger audience.Many bands, for example, gained a huge following by crafting MySpace pages, because the informality of this type of network suited bands well.
If you decide to blousing social networking tools, it's a good idea to use the blog tools of only one of them. If you sign up for several different social media sites, having a differing or multiple blogs on each one can be confusing for you, your business, and anyone trying to keep track of your efforts.
