What You Can’t Do on Facebook

Facebook is designed for people and businesses - real people and businesses.  It's also a place to communicate safely.  Most of the rules on Facebook are designed to follow those two rules.

There are things that you can not do on Facebook beyond what we talk about here.  Things you cannot do on Facebook include messaging multiple people unless you are friends with all of them - thats called spamming.

You cannot join a school network if you did not attend that school, and you cannot join a workplace network if you do not work for that company.

These rules are designed may change how you intend to use Facebook, but they are for the greater good.  In the next article we'll discuss five specific rules: if those rules stop your ability to use Facebook at all, you probably won't want to keep reading - but they are important.
