Beginners Guide to Facebook, Part Two: Definitions
Facebook has it's own inherent language, and being as big a platform as it is, has lead to the creation and use of some words that users need to know to get started. Here are a few of them to help you get started understanding Facebook
Profile:
A profile is a personal account, which you will need to get to use Facebook and/or set up your Business Page. It is currently against Facebook's Terms and Conditions to use a personal account to represent your business. That being said, you can always start your own separate profile page.
Page:
A Business Page (amongst other types of Pages) are where you publish your information, posts, images and more. It's a profile, but for a business.
Posts:
Like a post on a Blog, its a publish comment, image, or article that you want to share with the public.
Group:
Groups are tricky. Basically, they were a page-equivalent, created for an organisation or business to promote itself and its events. For example, a Health Club could start a group and then members would join and post their feelings about the new reno, prices, or just randoms things, and interact with each other.

Likes:
The end all and be all of Facebook - not really, but really. It's a thumbs up, an endorsement, an equivalent of a friend on your profile page. A Like is to Facebook what a follower is to Twitter.
