Share your Pictures With Facebook
Ever since the modern day camera was invented, people has been eagerly grinning while someone says "Cheese!". Photographs make great memories, but often we forget to develop them, upload them, or scrapbook them away. Many memories tend to simply fade away, stuffed into a box in the back of a closet, stuck on rolls of undeveloped film (remember film?!) or sit on a hard drive, forgotten. Facebook has great options and incentives to get us to upload, organize, edit and get our photos out there.
Facebook provides a pretty ubiquitous, easily accessible location for photos. Directing a family member or interested party to your Facebook Profile is easier than emailing photos, one by one, sending complicated links to drop boxes, or waiting until family reunions to show off how big the little ones used to be.
Every photo you upload can be linked to the profiles of the people in your photos. For example, if you and your wife take a vacation to Bali, you can link them to her profile as well as yours. Whenever someone visits her profile, they see those photos, even if they don't know you. This is great for many reasons, but it introduces a longevity to photos they might have never had before. As long as people visit your and her profile, they can see those photos. Photo Albums no longer have to someone people look at right after an even, but can revisit the memories years later.
